This page is about my attempt to purchase from www.overstock.com. I ordered a computer with free digital camera for my sister. They billed my credit card 3 days after I ordered, and I received the free camera 3 days later. I never received the computer. After six weeks and very little communication from overstock via email, I called them twice to initiate return of my money.
Here are the emails I've received from overstock.com. Most of them have my email that they're replying to under their signature. These are ALL the emails I received from info@overstock.com, but I didn't put all the emails I sent to them. I didn't include the 3 ad-emails a week I receive from them. You'll see that they provide me with very little information. The original email had a link to go to. this allows me to log in and check the order status. this showed me a UPS symbol and told me to click the symbol to track. When I did, I was directed to UPS's site and got the message that I had an invalid tracking number. Copying and pasting this number to FedEx's website, showed the tracking of the digital camera coming to me.
Overstock never provdided another tracking number until I called (at my own expense) and spoke with a customer service rep. That tracking number shows that FedEx never picked up the item.
I have shipped back the digital camera and received a credit on my credit card. I went to outpost.com Monday night at 7:15pm and ordered a simliar computer, but not quite as good a deal, and received it Tuesday about 5 minutes after noon.

I've been checking your site for info about my order #901063. It shows a UPS symbol
and the date 09/19/2000.
When I've clicked on the UPS icon, it takes me to UPS and tells me its an invalid
tracking number. Yesterday I received a package from FEDEX, containing the digital
camera part of the order (which is supposed to be a free bonus) but FEDEX said that
was the only package. I copied and pasted the invalid number from UPS to the FEDEX
tracking page and it shows me the package I received. Have you shipped the actual
package that I ordered? And if so, how may I track it?
Thanks,
John Post

Due to the fact that my order (invoice# 390766)has not arrived and I haven't received
a response from my last email, I'm not celebrating your site at all, but warning
my friends to avoid overstock.com
Three weeks is longer than I've ever had to wait for a product, and having received
false information from your page does not inspire me to celebrate. I just checked,
and the info on your site has still not changed. It STILL shows a ups symbol with
a fedex number. That number matched a digital camera that was delivered. The camera
was the FREE gift for ordering the computer. Once again, WHERE is the computer, how
may I track it, and WHEN can I expect it?
Please stop sending me ads by email until you send me info. Or better yet, send me
the computer and email me a good tracking number.
Thank you,
John Post

I have still not received my computer. I last received an email 6 days ago stating
that I would receive some information within 2 days. I've tried to be patient.
You billed my credit card for $589 on 9/19. You show a shipment under "my account"
for that day, yet when I click on the UPS symbol, it takes me to their site and shows
me it's an invalid tracking number. I copied and pasted that number into FEDEX's
tracking page and it shows the 1 package I have received. This package contained
the free digital camera that is supposed to come with the computer. Now that I've
waited a month, I'd like you to cancel my order and credit my credit card. I'll drive
over to fedex and ship back the digital camera today.
Thank you,
John Post
